The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient, transparent, and international standardized tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions with a mission to improve equity and quality in education by developing and administering research-based valid, reliable, efficient, transparent, fair and international level assessments.
NTA has created a system that is promoting teaching (by teachers), learning (by students), and assessment (by parents and institutions). NTA strongly believes in the quality, efficiency, effectiveness, equity, and security of assessments. To practice these values, NTA is constantly engaging with its stakeholders, viz. students, parents, teachers, experts, and partner institutions
The CUET exam full form is Common University Entrance Test, which in itself is a premier entrance test for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions to some of the most prestigious central universities such as Delhi University, BHU, Allahabad University, and JNU.
Admissions will be handled at the level of each of the
participating Universities/Institutions for their respective
programs. After the declaration of the CUET results, the
respective Universities will declare the counselling/admission
schedule and merit list based on CUET 2023 score and any
other criteria of participating universities. Please see the
website of the concerned University for details. There will be
admission counselling for Universities/Institutions with
additional applicable fees.
NTA will generate the Score Card only. After that the admission
exercise (including counselling) shall be handled by the
participating Universities/Institutions officials only.
Scores and candidate data would be shared with all the
participating Universities.
